The idea for this box (mobile art station) was generated after studying the  Fluxus Movement which emerged in the 1960's in NYC. Fluxus artists believed that museums did not determine the value of art  nor must one be educated to view and understand artworks.  These artist believed that art should be available to the masses and they also wanted everyone to contribute to produce art all the time.

Working off one of the key concepts  that life should exist in conjunction with art,  I intentionally created a minimalist design for my box  (mobile art station)  made of plywood painted white and containing an internal structure made of cement. The box was designed to open up and create standing, sitting and floor space to become a visual arts studio or perhaps even a small performance art theater.   The populous of UCF was invited  to engage in creating art on this blank slate which could travel throughout the campus. Everyone, regardless of their major or status was able to participate in the elaboration of the canvas. This piece was not designed to be restricted  to sustained images, but rather be an art piece in constant flux.   It remains on campus today,  available for all to experience and contribute to the art.
